RESTON, Va. -- IPIX Corporation (NASDAQ:IPIX), a premier supplier of 360-degree, immersive imaging technologies for visual intelligence applications, announced today the deployment of 360-degree cameras and networked analytics at the Prospect Heights, Ill., City Hall, enhancing the facility's security and revolutionizing how surveillance is monitored.

IPIX outfitted City Hall with cameras that are monitored remotely at the Prospect Heights Police Department and scan vulnerable areas including parking lots, outside doors and the main entrance.

After security was compromised at one of its facilities, police officials sought a digital video security solution, said Deputy Chief Eric Lundt. He then approached reseller Sentry 360 and selected IPIX, a global leader in immersive imaging technology,

The installation, completed last month, is the first of three phases aimed at upgrading security in Prospect Heights. The next two will secure other high-risk public facilities.
