Xanser's Furmanite Announces Appointment of Joseph E. Milliron as Chief Operating Officer for Worldwide Operations

Business Wire,  August 10, 2005

DALLAS -- Xanser Corporation's (NYSE:XNR) Furmanite, the worldwide technical and engineering services company, has announced the appointment of Joseph E. Milliron as chief operating officer. He will be responsible for the company's operations, which encompass more than 40 offices on five continents.

"We are very pleased to welcome Joe Milliron to Furmanite," said John R. Barnes, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Xanser Corporation. "His experience demonstrates his ability to successfully manage the operations of a complex, multi-national organization, just like our operations in Furmanite. He is an outstanding addition to our exceptional worldwide management team."

With 20 years of executive management experience, Milliron joined Furmanite from another international industrial services company, CooperHeat-MQS, Inc. of Houston, Texas. He served in positions of increasing responsibility at CooperHeat since 1991. From 1999 until 2004, Milliron was chief executive officer, president and director. During his tenure as COO, he was responsible for overseeing the merger of two operating companies, CooperHeat and MQS, into a single business, and managing the business through its successful sale in August 2004. He previously led field operations for this multi-national business, opening successful operations in Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.

According to C. Jeffery Chick, president of Furmanite, "Joe Milliron has spent his career building successful operations in a company that was engaged in a similar business and serving many of the same customers as Furmanite. He understands our customer, embraces our vision and brings substantial experience and expertise to our growing and dynamic operations worldwide."
