Black Box Corporation Announces Acquisition of Universal Solutions of North America, L.L.C.; Universal Solutions of North America, L.L.C. Represents Approximately $40 Million in Historical Voice Services Annual Revenue

PITTSBURGH -- Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX) today announced the acquisition of Universal Solutions of North America, L.L.C. Universal Solutions is a privately held company founded in 1998 with 12 regional offices, with customers in 14 states, who provide planning, installation and maintenance services for voice and data network systems.
Robert Scott, former CEO of Universal Solutions, commented, "We are extremely excited about joining a world class provider of converged data, voice and hotline solutions. With Black Box's worldwide presence and technical expertise, we will be able to provide industry leading solutions to our customers in an increasingly complex environment, anytime anywhere." Mr. Scott will remain active in the new company and will report to Gary Williams, General Manager of Black Box Voice Services.

This transaction is being accounted for as the result of an asset purchase agreement. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
