TAB Dallas Chapter to Honor 2005 Distinguished Business Leader Raymond D. Nasher, Chairman, Comerica Bank Texas and the Nasher Company

DALLAS -- The Dallas chapter of the Texas Association of Business (TAB) announced today that Raymond D. Nasher, Chairman of Comerica Bank Texas and the Nasher Foundation, will be honored as the 2005 Distinguished Business Leader at a September 22 luncheon. Gold event sponsors are Ebby Halliday Realtors, the Norman and Toni Brinker family, and JP Morgan, and Silver are Centex, Comerica Bank, TXU Electric Delivery and The Beck Group.
TAB recognizes Texas business executives who exhibit strong leadership skills, promote ethical business practices and contribute to the local community with the Distinguished Business Leader Award. Past recipients are Dick Cheney, Herb Kelleher, Ebby Halliday, Norm Brinker, the late Robert Dedman, Earl Nye, Ray Hunt and H. Ross Perot.
This year's award recipient, Raymond Nasher, is chairman of The Nasher Company, which has planned, developed, and managed shopping centers, office parks, industrial sites, new towns and planned residential communities. He is also the chairman of the board of Comerica Bank.
"Ray Nasher is an exemplary recipient for the Distinguished Business Leader award," said 2005 event chair Ebby Halliday. "He exhibits the qualities of a leader, and sets a standard for the Texas business community, both in his work through commercial endeavors and through his work in the arts community of Dallas."
The Distinguished Business Leader Award luncheon will be held at the Renaissance Hotel-Dallas on Thursday, September 22. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. For ticket information call 214-890-9259.
