Empirix Unveils Hammer CallMaster 5.0, the Only Automated Testing Solution Designed to Support Both Voice Self-Service Applications and VoIP Networks
Business Wire, August 2, 2005
NEW YORK -- Automated script generation lowers barriers to testing, resulting in better voice applications deployed in less time
From SpeechTEK 2005, Empirix(R) Inc., the leader in helping organizations strengthen customer loyalty through assured Web and voice application performance, unveiled Hammer CallMaster 5.0, the industry's first and only automated testing solution designed to support both voice self-service applications and VoIP networks. Hammer CallMaster automates and streamlines the testing of voice and speech applications as well as VoIP environments, enabling organizations to launch higher quality applications, faster.
Empirix's Hammer test systems, known as the gold standard of testing for voice applications and telecommunications equipment, enable organizations to generate high volumes of both TDM and VoIP test calls to measure functionality and performance of communications networks and the applications running on them. Hammer CallMaster is a robust software solution that runs on top of Empirix's Hammer test systems to enable users to quickly and easily create test scenarios using a visual scripting interface. Those scripts can be deployed in a pre-deployment setting for testing, or in production to proactively monitor and manage application performance.
Users report that Hammer CallMaster simplifies the testing process considerably, thus lowering overall testing costs and enabling them to perform more testing in less time. The result: higher quality service for their customers.
"Speech and VoIP technologies are becoming more prevalent in contact center environments - but as with any new technology, they both present Quality of Service challenges," said Wes Hand, Product Manager for Empirix's Contact Center Solutions Group. "Automated testing from the caller perspective is the most efficient way to identify and correct customer-impacting issues. Hammer CallMaster reduces the most significant barrier to implementing automated testing by making it very easy to map out call flows and create test scripts."
Hammer CallMaster is known for its visual interface which enables drag-and-drop, point-and-click test creation and execution, and for its extensive reporting and analysis capabilities which help users quickly identify the source of a problem and fix it.
Hammer CallMaster 5.0 adds the capability to create testing and monitoring scripts for both TDM and VoIP environments. It also incorporates new collaborative features that allow multiple users in different locations to create scripts and execute tests using one Hammer test system.
Other new features include:
--Integrated Grammar Administration, which allows IT professionals to remotely manage both test scripts and supporting grammars from a single remote desktop interface;
--Enhanced scheduling capabilities for monitoring based on time-of-day, and day-of-week;
--Support for Windows 2003; and
--Enhanced ISDN support, which provides extended programming capabilities for testing.
Hammer CallMaster 5.0 is available immediately. It is included with the purchase of a new Hammer test system or can be purchased separately and used with an existing Hammer test system. Pricing for Hammer CallMaster begins at $25,000 per seat plus $25,000 per server.
