Business Wire, August 2, 2005
BEDMINSTER & SADDLE RIVER N.J. -- Dendrite International, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRTE) a leading provider of sales, marketing, clinical, and compliance solutions for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry and PDI, Inc. (NASDAQ: PDII), a diversified sales and marketing services provider to the biopharmaceutical, medical devices and diagnostics industries, today announced that PDI has extended its previously announced product and services contract with Dendrite. The extended contract will now provide PDI's dedicated sales teams with Dendrite's leading technologies for optimizing and coordinating promotional activities.
Under the terms of the agreement, PDI will implement Dendrite's ForceMobile(TM) handheld solution providing their sales teams with instant access to sales and customer information in the field, enabling sales representatives to provide their respective management teams with real-time data to track results and make rapid course adjustments.
In addition, PDI will implement Analyzer(TM), an easy-to-use data-viewing tool, with Web and embedded versions, which transforms industry data into information. Analyzer(TM) is useful for home office analysts in benchmarking performance to objectives and for field management in coaching and feedback.
With Dendrite's First Source(TM) Sales Applications solutions, PDI's dedicated sales forces can increase productivity and efficiency. Dendrite's comprehensive and specialized industry products and services improve PDI's ability to provide real-time data on sales performance and activity, and are designed to increase client satisfaction and impact in the field.
This contract expansion is in addition to a three-year agreement PDI's Select Access unit previously signed with Dendrite for its WebForce(TM) solution, part of Dendrite's industry-leading sales effectiveness solutions suite, First Source(TM) Sales Applications.
"PDI is committed to providing world-class, outsourced sales and marketing services for the evolving pharmaceutical industry, and this strategic alliance with Dendrite will further enhance our industry leading capabilities," said Steven K. Budd, president of PDI's Global Sales and Marketing Services Group. "It was critical for PDI to partner with a proven provider of Sales Force Automation (SFA) solutions in the healthcare space. Dendrite's industry leading technology and robust set of analytical tools will enable our sales management teams to provide feedback and make critical course adjustments real-time. Our relationship with Dendrite will make our capability unmatched in this area."
"We are pleased to advance our commitment with PDI, a company with a history of developing and implementing innovative solutions to expand their leadership position in the contract sales industry," said Bob Parisi, vice president of sales at Dendrite.
