Xcelsius Enriches Data Visualization for Microsoft's Business Scorecard Manager 2005; Selected as One of Twelve Companies to Participate in Maestro Beta Program
Business Wire, August 22, 2005
SAN DIEGO -- Infommersion, the industry leader in data visualization software, announced it will greatly expand the charting and graphing capabilities of Microsoft's new server-based business performance management scorecard application, Microsoft Office Business Scorecard Manager 2005 (formerly known by the codename "Maestro").
By incorporating dynamic and interactive charts, Infommersion's award-winning Xcelsius software will enable Business Scorecard Manager users to visually track their key business performance metrics. With Xcelsius Visual Modeling(TM), decision makers can identify critical data relationships, analyze "what-if" scenarios and peer into their company's possible future performance. They simply use visual dials on the Business Scorecard Manager dashboard to alter underlying assumptions, and then immediately see the impact on projected key performance indicators (KPIs).
"Xcelsius brings an entirely new dimension to Business Scorecard Manager's graphical capabilities, empowering employees to interact with data through live charts and graphs," said Oudi Antebi, product manager for Business Scorecard Manager 2005 at Microsoft. "The goal of Business Scorecard Manager is to provide businesses with a powerful scorecard application to broadly view business information and quickly execute on strategic plans and objectives. Infommersion will be a key part in turning detailed, complex corporate data into visible action items."
"By incorporating Xcelsius' advanced data visualization, Business Scorecard Manager users will gain deeper insight into their company's current and projected KPIs," said Kirk Cunningham, vice president of marketing for Infommersion. "We are working closely with Microsoft to ultimately provide employees with graphical tools that dramatically shorten the time and improve the quality of their company's decision making."
The Business Scorecard Manager is currently in Beta 2, and is publicly available for download from www.microsoft.com/office/bsm. It was also previously released to selected testing partners, such as Infommersion, as part of the beta release.
