Multiple Institutions Select Datatel Colleague; Colleague's Flexibility and Track Record Cited for Decisions
Business Wire, August 22, 2005
FAIRFAX, Va. -- Datatel, Inc. today announced that four, four-year institutions and a graduate theological institution have selected Datatel Colleague, the leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for higher education, to provide their institutions with the flexibility and strength to meet growing demands. The five institutions are: Carlos Albizu University (Miami, FL and San Juan, PR), Becker College (Worcester, MA), Nichols College (Dudley, MA), The University of Winnipeg (Winnipeg, MB, Canada), and Wesley Theological Seminary (Washington, DC).
Carlos Albizu University will replace its current CARS system, while Nichols College and Wesley Theological Seminary will replace their CMDS systems, and Becker College will replace its Quodata system. All three systems are owned and operated by Jenzabar. The University of Winnipeg will upgrade from a homegrown solution.
"Becker College was looking to update its current solution across the entire campus," said Tyler Kelsch, vice president of Finance and CFO/Treasurer at Becker College. "Datatel was the only solution with the necessary technological flexibility plus the Web-based self-services we wanted to improve our overall institutional effectiveness."
Each institution will be able to better meet its unique business needs faced across campus with Colleague. Colleague provides more than 650 colleges and universities nationwide the software and capabilities needed to meet all business objectives.
"Because Datatel only focuses on higher education, we can effectively meet the specific needs of four-year institutions," said John F. Speer, Datatel vice president of Sales. "The functionality of Colleague, along with Datatel Professional Services, is the perfect combination for these institutions to be successful."
