LOS GATOS, Calif. -- SCI Solutions, the fastest growing access management solution provider for healthcare, today announced it has brought two new customers live on scheduling.com. Scheduling.com is SCI's award winning Internet-based, pre-registration, scheduling and front-end revenue cycle solution for hospitals and healthcare systems of all sizes.
Platte Valley Medical Center (PVMC) is a 58-bed community hospital located in Brighton, Colorado. PVMC is streamlining its scheduling and pre-encounter activities by using SCI's access management solutions integrated into its existing financial and clinical systems.
According to Sophie Plante, System Manager at PVMC, "We selected scheduling.com because of the broad functionality it offered in terms of scheduling and access management." She added, "We have received a lot of positive feedback from employees and referring physician offices about the changes we've made to our scheduling process."
Newark Beth Israel (NBI), an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System (SBHCS), is a 671-bed regional care teaching hospital located in Newark, NJ. NBI's use of SCI's solutions will serve as the model for future SBHCS scheduling/access initiatives. Additionally, several NBI clinics plan to roll-out scheduling.com in their enterprise.
NBI has plans to use scheduling.com in all of its hospital departments. It is also the first site to go live with the SCI Solutions self check-in kiosk offering.
According to Angelo Schittone, Vice President and Chief Information Officer at NBI, "We are a medical center that handles more than 300,000 patient visits a year and we wanted to improve our scheduling process to make it more patient-friendly and more efficient. The new system needed to complement our existing registration and scheduling routine. Scheduling.com clearly offered us the best solution for our patient access management needs and will clearly improve patient satisfaction."
"These new customers not only reflect the increasing importance that Access Management is playing in health systems across the country, but also that scheduling.com is the solution of choice for health system providers regardless of size," stated Scott Bennett, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, SCI Solutions. He added, "Access Management challenges are not unique to a health system's size -- only their mission -- and as a result, we have made our solutions scaleable and affordable to their respective size."
According to John Holton, CEO, SCI Solutions, "We are pleased with the opportunity to provide our advanced Access Management solutions to help these leading health systems to streamline their administrative processes, improve their customers' satisfaction and to expedite access to patient care delivery in their respective communities."
