Business Wire, August 25, 2005
SALT LAKE CITY -- Data visualization software company gives executives instant, interactive view of company's performance
UTFC Financing Solutions, LLC today announced its largest investment to date in Corda Technologies, which sells interactive data visualization solutions that allow executives to monitor global performance of their companies and better make critical decisions in real time. Corda executives requested the amount of the investment not be disclosed.
Lindon, Utah-based Corda (www.corda.com) recently launched CenterView(TM), its enterprise dashboard solution for c-level executives, as part of its transformation from a focus on developer tools to offering broad enterprise-level solutions for corporate executives.
"They've created a solid foundation to move into this new phase of the company," said UTFC CEO Steve Grizzell, who has been tracking Corda for years. "When we finished our due diligence, it was clear to us that Corda is the industry leader and we are pleased to be able to play a role in its future."
CenterView and Corda's other products allow executives to utilize all organization key performance indicators (KPIs) from all data silos across their enterprise in easy-to-understand graphical interfaces, which allows them to make critical decisions and better manage their global operations anytime and anywhere. The firm's customers come from a wide variety of global industries, such as corporate enterprises, financial institutions, government, health care and insurance.
In explaining the unprecedented size of this investment for UTFC, Grizzell pointed to the stability and results of Corda's executive team.
"They've consistently produced solid, steady performance and are well managed from a cash perspective," he said. "Corda's product line is second to none in addressing current market demands and they've put together the right team to manage it."
Corda CFO Alan Hansen said his firm will use the infusion of cash to continue to fund its transition from selling developer tools to selling enterprise-level solutions for corporate executives.
"We've brought on very skilled, experienced people who can successfully sell to enterprise software customers," he said. "We've also adopted new marketing tools and approaches."
Hansen added that his firm chose to work with UTFC on the deal because "Steve Grizzell's reputation is impeccable."
