Business Wire, August 29, 2005
HOUSTON -- Expanding its security research capabilities, BindView Corp. (NASDAQ:BVEW) announced today new members and additional capabilities for its highly regarded RAZOR team. As organizations bridge the gap between IT security and compliance requirements, RAZOR is augmenting its core security capabilities with new IT security compliance experts. In addition to providing protective updates for the latest threats and vulnerabilities, RAZOR now adds IT security compliance research and expertise to its core offerings.
According to recent surveys by Gartner(1) and the InfoPro(2), enterprise organizations are merging security and compliance into the management of IT infrastructures to meet expanding regulatory requirements. The compliance expertise added to RAZOR, coupled with its refined scope, provides BindView customers with cutting edge research and expert advice for the convergence of IT security and compliance.
"Global organizations are in the midst of a precarious juggling act as regulatory mandates drive a shift in resources from a pure IT security focus to IT security and compliance," said BindView Vice President of Field Marketing Chris Smith.
