Latest Independent Study Shows Investor's Business Daily® CAN SLIM™ Investing +849.1% vs. S&P 500 +22.8%

Business Wire, August 30, 2005

LOS ANGELES -- In the latest independent study that compares over 50 top investing strategies, Investor's Business Daily's CAN SLIM methodology continued to outperform. CAN SLIM returned a compounded growth rate of 849.1%, versus the S&P 500 gain of 22.8% in real-time results from January 1998 through June 30, 2005. CAN SLIM was also named the best growth performing strategy so far this year. Studies are conducted by the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII), and are available at www.aaii.com.

AAII states in the July 2005 AAII Journal: "The (CAN SLIM) approach performed very well during both the run-up of the technology bubble and following the bursting of the bubble. This has led the CAN SLIM methodology to be one of the top-performing approaches tracked by AAII..."

The CAN SLIM Investment Research Tool is based upon a methodology outlining seven performance traits the greatest stocks exhibit prior to major price gains. Commenting on AAII's latest results, Investor's Business Daily Chairman and Founder William J. O'Neil said, "CAN SLIM works because it's based on decades of research that show how great stocks perform in their emerging stages. By using CAN SLIM guidelines, investors are concentrating on stocks with the best potential right now."

IBD conducts CAN SLIM education seminars nationwide to help investors learn how to select stocks and manage their portfolios with proven rules. More information is available on seminars and CAN SLIM at Investor's Business Daily's Web site, www.investors.com.
