Business Wire, August 8, 2005
SOUTHLAKE, Texas -- Continuing its effort to enhance the consumer travel experience from start to finish, Travelocity(R) and MasterCard(R) have teamed up to provide a free, one-year subscription to Zagat.com, the world's leading provider of consumer survey-based leisure content, for travelers who book a two night or longer Flight Hotel TotalTrip(SM) on Travelocity using their MasterCard card.
"By simply using a MasterCard card to book a trip this August, travelers gain access to Zagat.com's comprehensive collection of international dining, travel and leisure information," said Bryan Saltzburg, vice president of packaging and cruises for Travelocity. "Our goal at Travelocity is to provide travelers with added value at every turn, which we believe begins during the shopping process and continues through when they set foot back in their homes."
"The TotalTrip promotion with Travelocity is a clear example of how MasterCard strives to deliver more value to our cardholders in ways that matter most to them," said Nina Biornstad, vice president, Travel & Entertainment, Acceptance, MasterCard International.
Now through Aug. 31, travelers who book a qualifying Flight Hotel TotalTrip vacation on Travelocity using their MasterCard card for payment and enter the promotional code ZAGATMC1 at checkout will receive a free, one-year subscription to Zagat.com (www.zagat.com), the online version of Zagat Survey. The site provides popular travel ratings and reviews of restaurants, hotels, nightlife, movies, music, golf, shopping and a range of other entertainment categories from around the world.
"We feel this added benefit will help our traveling customers select and plan for the restaurants and attractions they'll most enjoy during their trips without any additional cost," added Saltzburg.
