LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. -- High-Quality XGA-Resolution LV-7245, LV-7240, and LV-X5 LCD Projectors and RE-455X Visualizer Engage Audiences in Business and Learning Environments
Canon has set new industry standards for price-performance and value with the introduction of three new feature-packed LCD Multimedia Projectors -- the models LV-7245, LV-7240, and LV-X5 -- and the new RE-455X Visualizer. All four products combine advanced new capabilities with increased affordability to meet the needs of a wide range of professionals in education, business, government, law, medicine and many other sectors.
Ideal for conference rooms, classrooms and other locations requiring bright, high-quality XGA (1024 x 768) image display, Canon's new LV-7245, LV-7240 and LV-X5 Multimedia Projectors incorporate a smooth, modern design and a generous array of new features that make operation quick and easy. Providing the perfect match for this new trio of Multimedia Projectors is the new RE-455X Visualizer, which offers affordable XGA-resolution image capture for everything from print documents to 3-D objects.
"Canon is constantly working to address practical user needs and budgets by engineering better products with features that provide even greater value," said Yukiaki Hashimoto, senior vice president and general manager of the Consumer Imaging Group at Canon U.S.A., Inc., a subsidiary of Canon Inc. "The LV-7245, LV-7240 and LV-X5 Multimedia Projectors, and RE-455X Visualizer are the newest examples of how Canon meets the requirements and budgets of our customers without sacrificing quality performance."
A Range of Uses for a Range of Budgets
The new model LV-7245, LV-7240 and LV-X5 Canon Multimedia Projectors are designed for a range of users and budgets, and provide 2500 ANSI lumens, 2100 ANSI lumens, and 1500 ANSI lumens, respectively. All deliver maximum impact in minimum spaces, making them well-suited for presenting data from laptop computers, video from VCRs and DVD players, or live images from the Canon RE-455X Visualizer. The new projectors can also connect to Canon digital camcorders and digital cameras. All three models have a short throw distance capable of projecting a 100-inch image from only 9.8 feet away--an essential feature for use in classrooms, conference rooms, courtrooms, meeting rooms and other everyday venues that require projection portability, brightness and image fidelity.
The LV-7245, LV-7240 and LV-X5 Multimedia Projectors output high-quality XGA (1024 x 768) resolution imagery and also support UXGA (1600 x 1200) and SXGA (1280 x 1024) resolution display through high-quality compression. All the new models have a 400:1 contrast ratio. Each projector comes with a high-quality 1.2X zoom lens that is adjustable using a convenient slider control atop the projector housing. Additional control convenience is provided by an array of top-mounted Input Buttons with Light-Up Indicators that allow users to quickly switch between laptops or video sources (each model can be connected to two laptops simultaneously). An LED light clearly shows which input is being used even when operating the projector in total darkness. What's more, the model LV-7245, LV-7240 and LV-X5 Multimedia Projectors feature an Easy Menu Display with on-screen adjustments that are clearly labeled, allowing users to change settings quickly and easily. Information can even be displayed in one of 21 different languages.
Versatile Options for Greater Ease of Use
The feature set of Canon's new LV-7245, LV-7240 and LV-X5 Multimedia Projectors provides versatile display options. Wall Color Correction ensures colors are displayed accurately even when a projection screen is not available. Seven different adjustments (blackboard, light yellow, light green, light blue, sky blue, light rose, and pink), whether that surface is a classroom blackboard, the wall of a conference room, or an office partition. Furthermore, Automatic Keystone Adjustment instantly corrects the image up to /-30 degrees vertically for those instances when the projector is not centered.
For faster set-up and breakdown of presentations, Canon's new LV-7245, LV-7240 and LV-X5 offer Quick Start (which allows the projector to be used in about nine seconds) and Quick Cooling (which cools down the projector in approximately 30 seconds).
Ideal for small conference rooms, Quiet Mode reduces the projector's fan noise to only 30dB for the models LV-7245 and LV-7240, and 28dB for the LV-X5, thus enabling the audience to better focus on presentation content. The Long-Life Lamp feature can provide up to 3,000 hours of operation for the models LV-7245 and LV-7240 and 4,000 hours for the LV-X5.
Connections for Canon's new LV-7245, LV-7240 and LV-X5 projectors include S-Video, Composite, Component (through the VGA terminal via an optional cable), two VGA input terminals, one VGA output terminal (for connection to a computer monitor); and audio input and output. All three models weigh approximately 7 pounds and include a three-year parts and labor/120-day lamp-life limited warranty. These projectors come complete with Canon's new "Triple P" Projector Protection Program for added value. It is Canon's pledge to customers to provide a loaner in the case their projector requires servicing.
