LOS ANGELES -- Universal Detection Technology (OTCBB:UDTT) - The Company announced today that it will be exhibiting its technology and detection mechanism at the Homeland Security Conference taking place at the Edward Williams Hall Auditorium of the Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey on August 22nd, 2005. UDTT will be jointly attending and presenting at the conference with representatives from Rutgers University's Center of Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT). The conference is anticipated to be a well attended industry event. UDTT plans to gain maximum exposure by exhibiting BSM-2000 throughout the conference and by giving a short presentation to a select group of interested officials, authorities, and investors.
Invitees include (but are not limited to) consortium members, non-represented NJ universities and colleges (including 2 year schools), representatives of the state (Department of Transportation, Department of Law and Public Safety, etc.), the Port Authority of NY/NJ, Federal Emergency Management Agency, State and Local Office of Emergency Management, NYC agencies, etc.
"We look forward to exhibiting our advanced evacuation software in conjunction with UDTT's BSM-2000 to authorities from various agencies including FEAM, MTA, and the NY/NJ Port Authority," said Dr. Ali Maher from Rutgers.
"Through our relationship with Rutgers University, we have been able to design various programs aimed at verification and implementation of our bio-terrorism detection technology including cooperation programs with the NY/NJ Port Authority. We anticipate our presence in the upcoming conference will result in meaningful research, development, sales, and marketing leads that we hope will create more opportunities to further utilize our technology to monitor the air at different locations for the presence of potential bio-terror warfare agents," said Jacques Tizabi, UDTT's chairman and CEO.
