Susana Sosa-Martinez to Lead Cartel Creativo's U.S. Army Account
Business Wire, August 8, 2005
SAN ANTONIO -- Cartel Creativo, Inc., a strategic partner to The Cartel Group, has appointed Susana Sosa-Martinez, a veteran of multicultural marketing and senior executive at the San Antonio-based communications agency, as Account Director for the U.S. Army, one of the nation's largest ad accounts.
Sosa-Martinez is credited with having expanded the Army's integrated Hispanic marketing and advertising program, which includes successful execution of the mass-media campaigns, promotions, community events, direct marketing, online and public relations. In her new role as Account Director, Sosa-Martinez will direct all Hispanic-integrated communications efforts and act as chief liaison between Cartel Creativo and the other agencies that service the U.S. Army account.
"The U.S. Army has been an integral part of Cartel's history and success. All of us who work for this client feel a tremendous sense of responsibility that goes beyond the professional aspects of the job. We see it as a mission. I can think of no other person who embodies our commitment to this client better than Susana," said Victoria V. Negrete, CEO of The Cartel Group.
Sosa-Martinez has been an indispensable team member at Cartel Creativo since 2002, beginning her tenure as the U.S. Army's Account Supervisor. She has earned her stripes during a career that spans over 15 years, working for clients such as Proctor & Gamble, Sprint, and Western Union; developing successful advertising and marketing programs directed at the U.S. Hispanic market.
"Cartel Creativo is composed of highly talented creative and production advertising professionals," said Sean Salas, President of Cartel Creativo. "Susana is one such person who over the last three years through her great leadership, moral support and garnered client satisfaction has earned the right to this promotion," he concluded.
"I feel privileged and honored, not only by the confidence placed on me by Cartel Creativo, but by the work we're doing for the U.S. Army," Sosa-Martinez said. "The Army is one of those rare clients where the impact of one's work extends beyond the realm of marketing," she added.
Still, for Sosa-Martinez her family is her greatest passion. She is married to former San Antonio Councilman Walter Martinez and has three children, Isabel, Ana Victoria and Andres.
