Business Wire, August 9, 2005
SAN DIEGO -- CliniComp, Intl., a recognized leader of advanced, hospital-wide clinical information systems, today announced that five customers - Genesis Health System, Martin Army Community Hospital, Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, Ohio State University Medical Center, and Sharp Healthcare - were each recognized for their IT leadership.
Genesis Health System, Ohio State University Medical Center, and Sharp Healthcare were each named one of the nation's 100 Most Wired hospitals and health systems; Martin Army Community Hospital was honored as one of the Most Wired in a small and rural setting; and Ohio State University Medical Center was recognized as one of the Most Wireless hospital or health systems.
Conducted by Hospitals & Health Networks, the list is based on responses to the Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study that asks hospitals to report their use of information technology to address five key areas: safety and quality, customer service, business processes, workforce, and public health and safety. Sharp Hospital has been on the Most Wired list since the study's inception seven years ago.
"We congratulate each of our customers for their continued pursuit to push the envelope in healthcare IT and automate both the clinical and administrative side of their organizations," said Dr. Richard Kremsdorf, M.D., president and CEO of CliniComp. "We also applaud Sharp Healthcare's leadership role in adopting newer proactive clinical surveillance technology to improve patient safety."
