Corpus Christi Medical Center Hires Premier Anesthesia; Patients Benefit From Stable, Local Anesthesia Care
Business Wire, August 9, 2005
ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- Corpus Christi Medical Center of Corpus Christi, Texas, has contracted with Premier Anesthesia to provide and manage all aspects of the center's anesthesia services. Corpus Christi Medical Center, a member of the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), is comprised of four campus hospitals - Doctors Regional, Bay Area, Heart Hospital and Northwest, a 24/7 emergency care center.
Patients can expect the newly refined anesthesia department to provide them with a high standard of care and commitment. "In our ongoing quest to improve anesthesia services, we felt that Premier would help us to build a stable, local anesthesia team, allowing us to better serve our patients and surgeons," said Chief Executive Officer, Steve Woerner. "Our providers are committed not only to their patients and to hospital initiatives, but are interested in putting down roots in the local community as well."
Smooth Provider Transition
Noting the critical link between staff and patient satisfaction, Woerner highlighted the smooth and efficient provider transition that Premier is overseeing. "Premier is in the process of filling our anesthesia department with permanent anesthesia providers. We expect the group to be complete in September, putting us several months ahead of the staffing timeline," said Woerner. "We are amazed at how quickly we are making this transition, while maintaining a clear focus on patient needs and staff satisfaction."
The hospital system is in the final process of filling the open positions.
