Arrow Electronics' Server Evolution Program Helps HP Partners Maintain and Grow Installed Base
Business Wire, August 9, 2005
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The SBM Division of Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYSE: ARW), one of the largest value-added distributors of HP enterprise products and integrated services, in conjunction with HP, has created a Server Evolution Program to help HP reseller partners maintain and grow their installed base. This program provides HP reseller sales representatives and solution architects with a methodology, training and tools to assess the needs of their current customers and successfully migrate them to next generation HP servers.
Arrow's Server Evolution Program kicks-off with a two-day training seminar today at the Renaissance Tampa Hotel in Tampa, Florida. Specific topics covered during the training include Integrity evolution, financial selling and business strategy, among others. Resellers nominated for the Server Evolution Program must attend the kick-off in order to be eligible for the program's benefits.
One benefit of the program is that Arrow will assist participating resellers in conducting consulting sessions to help their customers build awareness of HP's solutions, address information technology issues, uncover short- and long-term planning goals and identify key business and technology requirements.
"Our new Server Evolution Program is an example of our dedication to both helping HP maintain its installed base and driving revenue for our reseller partners," said Michael Haley, vice president, SBM Division. "By educating our reseller partners on the latest HP server technology and how to migrate their existing customers to these products, they can become true partners with their customers, helping them develop and execute their long-range plans."
Other benefits to the resellers participating in Arrow's Server Evolution Program include:
--Marketing programs - Arrow will create and deliver "a la carte" marketing activities, such as direct mail, email blasts and telemarketing, that partners will be able to utilize to target their installed base.
--Technical support - Arrow will assist HP reseller partners in renting Rx2600 demo units. What's more, the Arrow Solution Lab will be made available for customer engagements.
--HP business practices and programs - Arrow will offer a hardware and software trade-in program as well as give participating resellers access to HP's ISV stack assessment tool to evaluate potential leads.
--Ramping and incentives - Arrow will offer its partners incentives for driving rapid adoption of the program and for selling additional HP solutions.
