Kleinfeld Bridal Names Stanton Crenshaw to Promote Move to Manhattan
Business Wire, August 9, 2005
NEW YORK -- Stanton Crenshaw Communications, a leading mid-sized public relations firm, announced that it was selected in May to handle a public relations campaign for Kleinfeld Bridal, the most celebrated wedding gown store in the U.S., known for carrying the largest selection of exclusive designer wedding gowns anywhere and for their unparalleled levels of unique customer service.
Stanton Crenshaw has developed a customized public relations program designed to raise awareness for the opening of a newly-constructed flagship Kleinfeld location in Manhattan this summer. The campaign enjoyed a strong start with the May 26 announcement of Kleinfeld's move from Brooklyn to Manhattan. The resulting front-page New York Times article and subsequent coverage sparked national and even international attention and helped set the stage for the actual Manhattan opening. Stanton Crenshaw will continue to handle all media and employee relations for the move and the new store launch.
In early August, the famed bridal emporium will move its operations with all employees to a brand-new 35,000 square-foot location, designed from the ground up in the heart of Manhattan's Chelsea district, at which time it will close the Brooklyn store. The store is being designed in spectacular fashion, as a "new" national and even international retail destination.
Founded in 1941, the legendary store has long been known for carrying the largest selection of exclusive designer wedding gowns anywhere and for their unique service that caters to brides-to-be. In recent years, Kleinfeld has experienced significant growth under the leadership of Mara Urshel, Ronald Rothstein and Wayne Rogers, the savvy investor of M*A*S*H fame, who jointly purchased the business in 1999 along with an investor group.
