Business Wire, August 9, 2005

SAN FRANCISCO -- Chong Partners Architecture, one of the fastest growing firms in the United States, has promoted Larry Bongort, Christopher E. Wilson and Bret Harper to associate partners. The trio will become part of the firm's senior management team with responsibility for firm governance as well as project leadership. Each joined the firm in 1998 and has been a senior associate.

"Larry, Christopher and Bret are valuable additions to our senior management team," said Gordon Chong, founder and President of Chong Partners. "All started at Chong Partners within a few months of each other and have delivered consistently superior results for our clients. These talented professionals also share an unwavering belief in the power of design to enhance the overall quality of our lives, which is something we stress continually as an organization."

Bongort originally joined Chong Partners as a medical planner. He is currently leading the planning for a new cancer center and medical office building for St. Joseph Health System at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, Calif. He previously served as a senior medical planner at Architects Hawaii, Ltd., in Honolulu after a lengthy stint at Stone Marraccini Patterson in San Francisco as an associate and medical planner.

Harper started at Chong Partners as a senior interior designer -- a department he now oversees. His major projects span a number of initiatives on the Kaiser Roseville campus in Roseville, Calif., including the Women's & Children's Hospital, the new four-story medical office building, emergency department/radiology expansion, and the cafeteria renovation and expansion. Before joining the firm, he served as the interior design director at Ehrlich Rominger Architects in Sacramento for five years.

Wilson's first position at Chong Partners was as an architect. He is currently the project director for the Kaiser Roseville Medical Center Expansion in Roseville, Calif., and the project manager for the Capital Area Development Authority parking structure at 16th and O streets in Sacramento. Previously, he was an architect at Lionakis Beaumont Design Group, also in Sacramento.

Harper and Wilson are based in the firm's Sacramento office at 1201 J Street, Studio 100. Bongort works from the San Francisco office at 405 Howard Street.

Chong Partners also has offices in San Diego and London, and provides strategic planning, urban design, architectural design, interior design and graphic design services to clients in healthcare, education, civic, institutional and commercial fields.

The firm is distinguished by a community-based and knowledge-based practice that emphasizes the importance of design to build livable communities and to foster social, cultural and ecological values. More information is available at www.chongpartners.com.
