Ascentium Corporation Acquires LMJ Consulting; Acquisition Expands Technology Strengths in Enterprise Software Solutions with Intelligent Graphics

Business Wire, August 9, 2005

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Ascentium Corporation, a leading northwest technology and marketing consulting firm, today announced it has completed the acquisition of LMJ Consulting LLC, a Redmond-based technology firm specializing in interactive, data-driven software solutions using Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) and eXtensible Markup Language (XML). LMJ brings to Ascentium over 30 years of expertise in developing custom solutions combining structured content and intelligent graphics for customers including The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) and the Department of Defense.

"LMJ's knowledge of SVG and XML is a great complement to Ascentium's deep strength in .NET development and technology," said James Beebe, president of Ascentium Corporation. "The acquisition positions us to expand our solutions in enterprise-grade technology with enhanced interactive graphics capabilities. Together, we look forward to providing our customers with the additional value of innovative, user-friendly graphics-based interfaces for their custom solutions."

Both Ascentium Corporation and LMJ Consulting have a history of developing technology solutions to support Boeing's sales and marketing efforts. Ascentium recently designed and developed websites and online marketing tools for www.newairplane.com and www.777.newairplane.com as part of the aerospace giant's worldwide promotional campaign for the new 787 Dreamliner. LMJ Consulting has been working with Boeing's Commercial Airplane division to help define the options configuration strategy and create new Web-based tools to support international sales efforts for the new 787 Dreamliner.

The acquisition of LMJ Consulting is indicative of the significant ongoing growth of Ascentium, which was recognized in October 2004 as the tenth fastest-growing private company in Washington State. In addition to expanding new and existing customer business, Ascentium has advanced through the acquisition of several niche companies such as interactive design firm Tattoo Media and Aurora Consulting Group, specializing in Enterprise Project Management (EPM), both acquired in late 2004. Each acquisition has complemented Ascentium's customer base and geographical reach, broadened its solution offerings, and expanded staff with people who bring unique experience in growing businesses and enhancing customer satisfaction.
