Rivermine Appoints Telecom Powerhouse Cindy Andreotti to Board of Directors; Former MCI President Brings Depth of Expertise to Market-Leading Company
Business Wire, Dec 13, 2005
FAIRFAX, Va. -- Rivermine announced today that former MCI president of enterprise markets, Cindy K. Andreotti, has joined its Board of Directors. Andreotti, a 26-year telecommunications industry veteran and President and CEO of The Andreotti Group, brings her vast industry experience and a proven track record of success in telecom, enterprise, and government markets to the leading enterprise telecommunications expense and asset management provider.
"Telecom expense and inventory management is one of the most critically-important issues on the minds of CIOs and their telecom departments today," said Andreotti. "Rivermine hits the 'sweet spot' by driving down costs, enhancing operational efficiencies, and strengthening business performance."
Prior to becoming President and CEO of The Andreotti Group, a strategic business advisory firm, Andreotti served in a variety of senior executive positions with MCI for 14 years. Most recently, she was president of enterprise markets, where she led the most successful and profitable business units at MCI including global accounts, government markets, managed services, and conferencing. Before joining MCI in 1990, Andreotti held executive management positions at AT&T for 12 years, during which she provided best-in-class results and consistently produced key national account wins.
"Cindy brings extraordinary value to our team with her depth of technology knowledge and business acumen in our key enterprise and government markets," said Mark Logan, CEO, Rivermine. "Her keen awareness of CIOs' telecom needs will help Rivermine provide the best solution available to our customers."
The addition of Andreotti comes on the heels of several significant company announcements, including Marriott CIO Carl Wilson's Board appointment, Rivermine's recognition in Deloitte's Virginia Fast 50, and high-level personnel appointments including a new vice president of marketing, vice president of sales, and director of federal sales.
Andreotti was ranked one of the most powerful women in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area by The Washington Post, serves as Vice Chairman of the Japan American Society, a member of the executive committee for the Red Cross, a member of the APAC Customer Services, Inc. Board of Directors, and is a member of the Accenture Women's Leadership Forum. She joins the Rivermine board as an independent member, bringing the total number of directors serving the Rivermine board to seven.
The Andreotti Group, www.andreottigroup.com, is a strategic business advisory firm serving domestic/global enterprises, private equity and institutional firms, and international investment groups.
