Alfa Corporation to Open NASDAQ Stock Exchange

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Alfa Corporation (Nasdaq/NM:ALFA) announced today that President and Chief Executive Officer Jerry A. Newby will open The NASDAQ Stock Market on Thursday, December 22. Other members of the management team participating in the opening ceremony include Lee Ellis, Executive Vice President, Operations, and Steve Rutledge, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Commenting on the event, which celebrates Alfa Corporation's twentieth anniversary of trading on The NASDAQ Stock Market, Newby said, "Over the past twenty years, Alfa has evolved into a broad-based regional company, entering new markets and further expanding its products and services.
