Learning Care Group, Tutor Time Franchisees Donate $40,000 to Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Fund

NOVI, Mich. -- Learning Care Group, its subsidiaries, Childtime and Tutor Time Learning Centers, and its Tutor Time Franchisees hope to make the season a little brighter for the children and families affected by Hurricane Katrina. Today, the Company announced it had donated over $40,000 to the Red Cross' Hurricane Katrina Fund. E[acute accent]The funds were raised in corporate and franchise schools across the United States throughout the month of September. Franchise-owned Tutor Time Learning Centers and corporate-owned Childtime Learning Centers and Tutor Time Learning Centers raised a total of $20,018 during the four weeks. E[acute accent]Learning Care Group matched the funds raised at the centers, bringing the grand total to $40,037. E[acute accent]"Hurricane Katrina continues to have an enormous impact on the businesses and people of the Gulf Coast -- particularly the children caught up in this tragedy," stated Bill Davis, Chief Executive Officer. "I am very proud to be part of an organization that realized the importance of reaching out to those affected by the disaster and took action to help the situation. Aside from raising money, we had teachers going down to Louisiana to volunteer as counselors. Entire centers and their families collected baby food, diapers, blankets -- they did anything they could to help fill the need."
