CipherTrust Adds Key Executive Leadership to New West Coast Headquarters; Vice Presidents of Business Development and Real-Time Messaging Bring Extensive Security, Technology and Management Expertise to Messaging Security Leader

Farzad Tari, a founding member of CheckPoint's successful OPSEC Alliance, has joined the Company as vice president of business development. R.C. Venkatraman (Venkat), former CEO, chairman and founder of PostX, has joined the Company as vice president of real-time messaging. Both executives bring more than 30 years combined security, technology and management experience that will help CipherTrust(R) move into its next phase of growth. Prior to joining CipherTrust, Tari served as the vice president of business development at Swan Labs, which was later acquired by F5 Networks. He also served as a strategic consultant to Airespace which was acquired by Cisco Systems. Tari was a founding member of the OPSEC Alliance Program for CheckPoint where he assembled and led a team of business development, product and marketing managers to create one of industry's most successful strategic alliance programs. Previously Tari held several marketing and sales management positions at Cisco and Cadence. Tari serves as an advisor on the board of the University of Kansas as well as several technology start-ups. Venkatraman, former CEO, chairman and founder of PostX, has joined CipherTrust to lead research and engineering for the Company's instant messaging (IM) security gateway, IronIM(TM), which provides inbound and outbound threat protection for enterprise IM communication. Prior to founding PostX in 1996, Venkatraman was senior engineering manager at Apple Computer where he was responsible for the architecture and development of e-mail and messaging products. Before joining Apple he was at Hewlett-Packard (HP) where he developed the HP-UX network file transfer and remote-file access products. He has an MS in computer science from Iowa State University.
