Pop the Champagne! Feith Document Database Is Re-Certified Compliant with DoD 5015.2 Chapters 2 and 4
Business Wire, Dec 2, 2005
FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Feith Systems and Software is thrilled to announce the re-certification of its flagship product, Feith Document Database v. 7 compliant with DoD 5015.2 Chapters 2 and 4, the highest standard for electronic records management and security of proprietary and confidential documents and data. Click on the link for details: http://jitc.fhu.disa.mil/recmgt/feith/db7/index_ch4.html
This enables government agencies and organizations to comply with regulatory and legislative requirements for records management using Feith Document Database (FDD).
Feith's Records Management Application (RMA) meets all DoD requirements for retention, preservation, and disposition:
--Protects an organization's valuable assets
--Controls record archives
--Reduces legal liabilities
--Complies with other Government Regulations such as SEC Rule 17a-4 and Sarbanes Oxley Act
--Streamlines the entire filing process
--Enables records auditing -- tracks transactions at the group or user level
What differentiates Feith's product from the rest is it provides a total solution for the efficient management of records while blending in with an organization's infrastructure. The FDD platform handles all of the processes involved in collecting, indexing, archiving, and disposition of electronic records. Its flexibility allows it to work with all records and in all formats.
What's more, FDD is already compliant with the Freedom of Information ACT (FOIA) and its electronic version, EFOIA, with advanced redaction functionality. DoD 5015.2 Chapters 2 and 4 specifications do not currently require FOIA, EFOIA, and redaction, but will do so in about 12 months. Feith is well ahead of the game!
Several government agencies are currently using these features. Simple graphic redaction techniques, flexible reason coding, straightforward updating, audit trailing and modifications with version control make Feith's product very appealing to agencies charged with processing EFOIA requests.
