Sutron Books $3,183,970 in November

STERLING, Va. -- Sutron Corporation (NASDAQ:STRN) is pleased to announce official receipt of a highly-anticipated $1,511,594 irrevocable Letter of Credit (LOC) from the Government of India's IMD (India Meteorological Department). The LOC is applicable to IMD's award of a Letter of Credit to Sutron to provide a critically important, extensive meteorological data acquisition system, based on the IMD's Request for Proposal titled "Procurement of 100 Automatic Weather Stations with Sensors and Establishment of an Earth Station in Pune".
Sutron also announces award of two contracts from the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), totaling $962,436. The SFWMD orders call for Sutron to provide maintenance of its Motorola MOSCAD control systems throughout the 16-county area that comprises SFWMD's jurisdiction. These two contracts, along with the 2004 $1,049,000 contract to provide District-wide environmental site maintenance, solidify the company's Hydrological Services Division's position as a key maintenance provider and contractor for the SFWMD and as the sole provider of Motorola MOSCAD maintenance in the SFWMD through the year 2009.
Two other significant orders were received in November. The US Geological Survey's Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility (HIF) gave Sutron a $433,380 purchase order for SatLink2 Satellite Transmitter/Loggers and Water Level Sensors. A $93,924 order was also received from the US Army Corps of Engineers in Concord, Massachusetts, for Sutron Engineering Services.
Sutron's year-to-date bookings stand at $15,613,274 as of the date of this press release.
