GTREX Capital Announces Global Travel Exchange Use of Cape Clear Enterprise Service Bus for Voyager Network Travel Distribution System

Business Wire, Dec 20, 2005

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- GTREX Capital, Inc. (OTCBB:GRXI) today announced that its wholly owned operating subsidiary, Global Travel Exchange, Inc., a leading provider of direct access travel distribution technology, has begun using the Cape Clear Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) as the platform for developing and deploying transactional applications for the Global Travel Exchange Voyager Network. The Voyager Network enables direct access to the reservation systems of major travel suppliers such as airlines, cruise lines, hotels, car rental companies and providers of other travel amenities.

GTREX Capital chairman and chief executive officer Christopher Berlandier indicated that Global Travel Exchange decided against using traditional integration platforms to implement its service-oriented architecture (SOA) because of the massive cost and complexity associated with those technologies.

"Using Cape Clear, we were able to download all the code, documentation, and tutorials, and install the software in less than an hour, and build our proof-of-concept in a day, without requiring assistance from the company," said Berlandier. "With Cape Clear 6.5, we built out our SOA and were delivering new products to our customers in a fraction of the time, effort and cost of other approaches.

"The old guard travel exchanges are supported by massive, costly infrastructures, whereas Global Travel Exchange is built with cutting-edge technologies, like the Cape Clear ESB. Cape Clear has enabled Global Travel Exchange to drive cost out of the operation and simplify its entire infrastructure -- without sacrificing transactional reliability," added Berlandier.

"Building a more efficient and effective system will contribute to elevating Global Travel Exchange to the forefront of global travel distribution and will maximize its value for GTREX Capital shareholders. We are always conscious of utilizing our resources in a manner that will deliver the greatest return, and with Global Travel Exchange making use of superior technologies, delivered at lower costs, GTREX Capital is able to use the capital that is not expended in this area to finance other initiatives of Global Travel Exchange and future portfolio investments," stated Mr. Berlandier.

Global Travel Exchange has developed and implemented several XML (Extensible Markup Language) interfaces, in accordance with OTA (OpenTravel Alliance) specifications, to ensure a direct connection between Global Travel Exchange and suppliers of travel services. XML, a cross-platform software and hardware-independent tool for storing and transmitting information, is becoming the standard method to communicate data between servers and between servers and browsers. Global Travel Exchange's high-quality direct connection will provide clients with access to higher quality information, translating into more convenience for travelers and travel arrangers.
