NFR Security Announces Protection Against Newly Disclosed Microsoft IIS Services Vulnerability; NFR Security Sentivist Provides Protection Against Flaws That Allow Microsoft Internet Information Server V5.1 to Crash

ROCKVILLE, Md. -- NFR Security, Inc., the leader in Real-Time Threat Protection, today announced immediate protection for Microsoft's latest discovered vulnerability on their Internet Information Server (IIS) Services, version 5.1. Disclosed on Friday December 16, 2005, this newly published vulnerability allows hackers to compromise the Microsoft IIS Services, causing web services to not be available until a restart is initiated by the system. NFR Security's newly released signature update successfully protects against the announced vulnerability and is currently available for automatic download from the secure NFR Security Customer Support site.
