IDG's InfoWorld Adds Daily Podcast to Popular Weblog; InfoWorld Daily Integrated Program Sold Out Due to Strong Demand

Business Wire, Dec 22, 2005

SAN FRANCISCO -- IDG's InfoWorld, the leading integrated media brand for strategic technology decision-makers, today announced the launch of a daily podcast. Covering "everything you need to know about enterprise technology in five minutes or less," the InfoWorld Daily expands upon InfoWorld.com home page editor Tom Sullivan's popular Weblog of the same name. Coverage includes opinions, commentary, and information on the most critical technology stories every day, using resources from InfoWorld and the IDG News Service. Editorial content is determined solely by the InfoWorld staff. The podcast is distributed via Sullivan's popular Weblog and RSS feed, a separate dedicated feed, via the InfoWorld.com home page and news sections, and within an e-mail newsletter. Due to strong advertiser demand, the InfoWorld Daily integrated podcast program is sold out. Today's podcast is available for download at: http://akamai.infoworld.com/podcasts/IFW_Daily_12-22-05.mp3.> The InfoWorld Daily podcast can be downloaded by:

"The InfoWorld Daily podcast is part of a strategic initiative to expand InfoWorld's depth and breadth across emerging media types and enterprise technology categories," said Paul Calento, InfoWorld's vice president of marketing. "The InfoWorld Daily is more than a podcast. It is an integrated communications vehicle that uses several components to reach senior technologists the way they want to be reached, with a scale and ROI that typical podcast programs just can't match."
