Toshiba Receives INTERNET TELEPHONY® Magazine's New 'INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence' Award for 2005; Toshiba's Strata CIX Lauded for Delivering Solutions That Improve VoIP/IP Telephony
Business Wire, Dec 7, 2005
IRVINE, Calif. -- Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., Digital Solutions Division (TAIS DSD), announced today that Technology Marketing Corp. (TMC(R))'s INTERNET TELEPHONY(R) magazine (www.itmag.com) has named Toshiba's Strata(R) CIX(TM) IP business communication system as a recipient of an INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award for 2005.
"The editorial staff of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine is proud to announce Toshiba as a winner of the first-ever INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Awards," said Rich Tehrani, editor-in-chief of INTERNET TELEPHONY. "With its Strata CIX IP business communication system, Toshiba has proven that it delivers VoIP solutions that solve their customers' needs."
Greg Galitzine, editorial director of INTERNET TELEPHONY, added, "Toshiba has proven to the editors of INTERNET TELEPHONY that it has excelled in the VoIP/IP telephony industry, and most importantly, its customers are willing to speak up and offer themselves as references."
"Toshiba's Strata CIX family brings together the best of IP telephony with the broad feature set that is usually only found in TDM-based PBX systems, plus it allows users to mix and match both IP and TDM on the same system, allowing them to use digital telephones for local users or where IP does not make sense," said Larry Meyer, vice president of sales and marketing of TAIS DSD. "In keeping with Toshiba's goal to never leave a customer behind, the Strata CIX is both backward compatible with Toshiba's Strata CTX(R) digital communication systems as well as forward compatible to future Toshiba platforms."
The INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award winners for 2005 were published in the October issue of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.
