AT&T Inc. Announces Online Business Affiliate Network Program; Program Enables Businesses and Organizations to Earn Commissions by Promoting AT&T Services via Their Web Sites

Business Wire, Dec 8, 2005

SAN ANTONIO -- The new AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced the launch of its Business Affiliate Network, an innovative program that enables businesses and professional organizations to earn commissions by promoting AT&T services on their Web sites.

The AT&T Business Affiliate Network will serve as an important new outlet for AT&T online marketing and advertising and provide an opportunity for AT&T companies in which to expand relationships with a wide range of business and organization Web site owners. Through the program, eligible affiliates will be able to place an AT&T banner or text link on their Web sites, enabling visitors to click through to quickly and easily place orders for AT&T products and services. Affiliate organizations receive commissions for every qualified purchase that is made by customers who click through from their Web sites.

Joining the affiliate network is free, and AT&T companies make it easy for Web site owners to participate by providing a tag generator, a program that creates links to AT&T products from the affiliate Web site. Owners can simply copy and paste the tag generator code to their Web sites. Additional information on the network is available at www.b2baffiliate.sbc.com.

The network will initially focus on promotion of SBC Yahoo! DSL Business Edition, an integrated high-speed Internet solution that includes customizable business content, security software, expanded storage and network capabilities.

"The AT&T Business Affiliate Network will open an important new channel for AT&T companies and provide an exciting new opportunity for local governments, chambers of commerce, financial, medical and other business customers who have a large number of business Web site users," said Frank Jules, senior vice president, AT&T Business Marketing. "In the coming months, we will expand the program to include a range of AT&T products and services for small and mid-sized business customers."

The new business program joins the AT&T Consumer Affiliate Network, which was introduced by former SBC companies in 2002. The consumer program has focused on enabling businesses to promote the new AT&T consumer services, formerly SBC, including broadband DSL, local and long distance telecommunications and telephone equipment. The consumer network has resulted in more than 39,000 DSL orders. Additional information about the AT&T Consumer Affiliate Network can be found at www.sbc.com/affiliate.> Affiliate sales can provide a substantial opportunity for participants. "I've been very successful in leveraging the consumer network," said Janine Takos, whose California-based marketing agency has utilized the AT&T consumer program for many of its Web-based initiatives. "It's a great tool for communicating services to customers, while delivering commission incentives to affiliate members. It's a win-win."
