Internet Security Systems Certified by J.D. Power and Associates for Technology Service and Support Excellence; Company Is First in Security Industry To Be Certified, and First Technology Company To Be Certified Globally
Business Wire, Dec 8, 2005
ATLANTA -- Internet Security Systems, Inc. (ISS) (NASDAQ: ISSX) today announced that the company has been recognized for delivering excellent technology service and support for its enterprise security products under the J.D. Power and Associates Certified Technology Service and Support (CTSS) Program. ISS is the first enterprise security company to be certified under this new program, and the first company overall to be certified for technology service and support on a global scale.
In conjunction with the Service & Support Professionals Association (SSPA), J.D. Power and Associates developed the CTSS program in order to encourage technology support organizations to increase effectiveness by establishing a benchmark for handling service and support. To achieve certification, an organization must attain customer satisfaction scores among the top 20 percent of firms offering technology support. ISS' scores were determined by random surveys of over 400 recently served technical support customers across the world. In addition, J.D. Power and Associates also conducted an expert audit of ISS' support policies and procedures.
"ISS is committed to a level of excellence in the way we serve our customers," said Tom Noonan, president and CEO of Internet Security Systems. "By focusing on continuous improvement and engaging independent auditors to evaluate our customer processes and satisfaction, ISS is raising the bar in what customers can expect from technical support operations. Recognition from J.D. Power and Associates demonstrates that ISS has met or exceeded the high standards set for world-class technology service and support organizations. By attaining the J.D. Power and Associates CTSS certification, ISS is assuring customers that we are serious about the quality of service we provide to them on a daily basis."
"ISS' customer support efforts are being well-recognized in the industry," said Sally Foster, vice president of worldwide customer support at Internet Security Systems. "In addition to being the first enterprise security company to be certified by J.D. Power and Associates, we have also recently been recognized by analyst firm, Frost & Sullivan, for customer service innovation, and will continue to actively implement programs that put our customers first."
Today, thousands of enterprises trust Internet Security Systems to protect their critical online assets from Internet threats across networks, servers and desktops. Through its Proventia(R) line of products and services, ISS delivers enterprise-wide information security that is tightly integrated with existing IT operations to preemptively block attacks before they impact the performance of an organization's network.
