BOTHELL, Wash. -- Allied Telesyn, a global provider of end-to-end Ethernet/IP solutions, today announced that Superwire, Inc. (NASDAQ non BB:SUPW), has chosen Allied Telesyn as its technology and implementation partner to deliver "Triple Play" voice, video and data services to the approximately 8500 residential customers at Leisure World, Seal Beach, California.

"The deployment of our flagship Multiservice Access Platform and companion Residential Gateways shows the strength of our end-to-end offerings for delivering voice, video and data to Leisure World customers," said Phil Jopa, CTO of Allied Telesyn, Inc. "We're pleased to be selected as the prime contractor. In every phase of this deployment Allied Telesyn will show its expertise in network design and installation. Allied Telesyn along with its Alliance Partners will be providing the total solution to meet Superwire's requirements. The Allied Telesyn TN9700 was selected by Superwire for its carrier class reliability and service delivery flexibility for both fiber and copper Access Edge. "The IP Ethernet architecture of the TN9700 made it an overwhelming choice for delivering the Triple Play," said Tighe Merelli, CEO, Superwire, Inc.

The TN9700 is environmentally hardened for durability and its compact size is ideal for high-density installations. The Platform has sixteen available service modules that provide up to 384 ports and two control modules for network redundancy. The uniqueness of Allied Telesyn's advanced Gateway provisioning and management system offers the required flexibility to provide end user custom services while maintaining centralized control and security. The Residential Gateway from Allied Telesyn provides Superwire with the ability to leverage in-home coax wiring and MPEG stream analysis which will allow for unprecedented customer service and lowers total cost of ownership.

"Allied Telesyn was the natural choice for this deployment." stated Tighe Merelli, CEO, Superwire, Inc. "Their combination of proven triple play hardware, financial stability and experienced professional services guarantees a successful implementation at Leisure World Seal Beach.
