Magic Quadrant on Unified Communications Positions Interwise in ''Visionary'' Quadrant
Business Wire, Feb 15, 2005
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Interwise, the leader in true enterprise conferencing, today announced that it has been positioned in the "visionary" quadrant of Gartner Inc.'s just-released "Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications, 2005"* report. Interwise's ECP Connect(TM) software is an Internet Protocol (IP)-based, enterprise conferencing solution that delivers unlimited web, voice and video conferencing to the extended enterprise for a fixed price.
Gartner defines "unified communications" as the convergence of five key communication markets: voice messaging and unified messaging; the live voice market, such as PBXs (call handling); the e-mail market; the voice, web, and video conferencing and collaboration market; and the IM and live presence indicator market. "Visionaries" have a clear vision of market direction and are focused on preparing for that, but they can still improve in terms of optimizing service delivery.
"We believe Interwise is increasingly being recognized as the de facto solution for companies that want to bring the benefits of IP-based enterprise conferencing and collaboration to tens of thousands of employees, as well as their customers and partners," said Interwise CEO Frank Zvi. "Increasingly, we are being recognized for the combination of our uniquely scalable Multimedia Softbridge (TM) architecture and fixed price, unlimited usage business model that has made us the first choice for companies looking to put integrated voice, video, and web conferencing on the desktops of 50,000 or 100,000 employees worldwide. By bringing together both the technology and the business model, Interwise is enabling its customers to make conferencing a core communications and collaboration utility for the extended enterprise, as broadly deployed within a company as email and voicemail."
