Juniper Networks Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of Analyst Firm's Firewall Magic Quadrant; Company Evaluated on Vision, Execution and Product Breadth
Business Wire, Feb 16, 2005
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:JNPR) today announced it has been positioned in the "Leaders" quadrant of Gartner's recently released report: Magic Quadrant For Network Firewalls 2004. A leading worldwide research and advisory firm, Gartner evaluated 18 vendors according to a strict set of criteria focused on vision, ongoing execution and product breadth.
According to Gartner, leaders are vendors that are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction, and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market. In the report, Gartner research director, Greg Young states, "To be considered a leader, a vendor must have network-level firewall capabilities and deep packet inspection in an integrated product, and be continuously providing new features to answer new threats."
"We are pleased to be recognized by Gartner for the second consecutive year," commented David Flynn, vice president, Security Products Group, Juniper Networks. "Vision, focus and execution have been the watchwords of Juniper Networks since the company was founded and will continue to be as we drive to deliver solutions that meet customers' needs for secure and assured networking."
