Market Wrap Host Moe Ansari to Play With the Pros in the Pro-Am Before the FBR Open in Phoenix
Business Wire, Feb 2, 2005
PHOENIX -- Moeez Ansari, President of Compak Asset Management and host of the popular nationally syndicated financial radio show, "Market Wrap with Moe Ansari," will tee off with PGA professionals in the FBR/Xerox Silver Pro-Am tomorrow at the Tournament Players Club in Scottsdale. The Tournament Players Club will then play host to the PGA's annual FBR Phoenix Open beginning Thursday with the final round on Sunday.
Moeez, also known as Moe, is an avid golfer. While his handicap is not widely known, those who've played with and against him say he's pretty advanced. "When you're out with the pros, you always want to play well," Moe remarked. "Being in the financial business, I feel very comfortable watching the markets and looking at the charts and the graphs, but when you're out there on the grass and you're with the PGA pros, you want to make sure you don't embarrass yourself. I just hope I don't lose too many golf balls," Moe said with a smile.
As he did in 2004, Moe will be broadcasting the Thursday and Friday editions of "Market Wrap" live from the event. This Thursday, his guest will be Mr. Manny Friedman, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of FBR. On Friday, Moe's scheduled guests include Mr. Eric Billings, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO and Mr. Dave Ellison, President of FBR Fund Advisors. FBR, short for Friedman, Billings, and Ramsey Group, Inc., provides investment banking, institutional brokerage, asset management, and private client services through its operating subsidiaries and invests in mortgage backed securities and merchant banking opportunities. Compak Asset Management is a registered investment advisor providing a variety of wealth management products and services to its clients.
"Market Wrap with Moe Ansari" can be heard live Monday through Friday at 2pm PT, and also Saturdays at 11am and 12pm PT. Interested listeners can find a list of stations carrying the show on the official Web site, www.marketwrapwithmoe.com. Listeners can also hear the daily show live via streaming audio on the Web site. Archived shows are also available.
