SilkRoad TrueLook Gives ESPN Radio Listeners A View into the Big Game Over the Web; Web Cameras Let Fans Experience Super Week with a Personalized View

Business Wire, Feb 2, 2005

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- SilkRoad technology, the leading provider of enterprise-class, easy-to-use content management and collaboration software, today said its TrueLook Web Cameras are enabling fans at home to view the "big game" preview activities in Jacksonville all this week over the Web.

TrueLook cameras started beaming pictures of ESPN Radio's live broadcasts Monday, Jan. 31, and will continue to broadcast feeds right through Sunday's game on February 6, as well as post-game follow-up through February 8. Listeners can track events over the Web with SilkRoad at http://espnradio.espn.go.com/espnradio/index

Cameras set up in the ESPN Radio booths will allow listeners to zoom in on New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles players being interviewed to take close-up photos, or to just watch the excitement. Visitors to the Web site have control of the camera views and can therefore customize their experiences -- ensuring an experience far more satisfying than watching television. In addition to the live views, photos taken with the cameras by fans will be shared in online albums.

"We want to allow as many people as possible to share in the excitement of the big game," said Marc Horine at ESPN Radio. "With SilkRoad's TrueLook cameras we give our fans the opportunity to have a richer experience than the typical television or radio listener would have."

SilkRoad TrueLook is an enterprise solution ideally suited for manufacturing, construction, retail and entertainment industries. TrueLook's multi-faceted user interface allows users to view multiple locations and types of visual data simultaneously. Users can view live data, archived photos and even streaming video through a single screen. The easy-to-use solution gives monitoring power to the end-user. The TrueLook network solution is used to monitor security at some of the largest corporations and institutions in the country, and is in place at the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. Organizations also use TrueLook to conduct online meetings, view project details and monitor construction sites. In addition, TrueLook is used by many businesses to enhance a Web visitor's experience, giving live views of inventory.

"Like any fans would be, we are excited to be involved with the big game," said Andrew "Flip" Filipowski, CEO of SilkRoad. "Our TrueLook cameras are a useful and fun tool to help ESPN Radio listeners looking to soak up as much of the big game experience as possible."
