PMC-Sierra, LSI Logic and Hitachi Global Storage Technologies Set to Demonstrate Serial Attached SCSI — SAS — Enterprise Storage Products at Intel Developers Forum — IDF —

WHAT:     PMC, LSI Logic & Hitachi will demonstrate production-ready
          Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) storage products. This multi-
          vendor demonstration features PMC's PM8387, 36-port SAS
          expander, LSI Logic's SAS3800X 8-port SAS Host Bus Adapter
          and SASx12 12-port expander with Hitachi's Deskstar 7K80
          3Gb SATA & prototype Ultrastar 15K147 SAS Hard Disk Drives.
          The demo highlights SAS scalability and flexibility to
          support either SATA HDDs for low-cost bulk storage or SAS
          HDDs for enterprise class systems.
