Intelliden Vice President of Service Provisioning Solutions Honored by Cisco Systems; Industry Veteran Member of Elite Group of Internetworking Professionals
Business Wire, Feb 22, 2005
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Intelliden Corporation, the intelligent networking company, today announced that Derek Hearne, Intelliden vice president of service provisioning solutions, has been granted the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification Ten-Year Anniversary Award by Cisco Systems.
Since 1993, CCIE certification has recognized internetworking professionals who possess the highest level of expertise and are skilled in resolving the most complex issues in networking. According to Cisco Systems, CCIE is the most respected high-level certification, recognized worldwide as the "doctorate" of networking.
Fewer than three percent of Cisco certified professionals become CCIEs. As of 2004, there were only 31 CCIE experts in the world with ten years or more of experience.
"We are very proud of Derek's technical accomplishments and his recognition by Cisco of being one of only 31 Ten-Year CCIEs worldwide is outstanding," said Glen Tindal, Intelliden chief technology officer. "Every day, Derek leverages his in-depth knowledge of Cisco's devices and networking vision to help accelerate our customers' strategic network automation initiatives via our Intelliden R-Series(R) software. In fact, Derek's the only CCIE I know who scored higher than 100 percent on the Cisco CCIE lab evaluation. He truly epitomizes the definition of a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert."
The Intelliden R-Series software automates the auditing, configuration, provisioning and security of network devices. Intelliden's solution is available via a desktop UI or the industry's first open and extensible APIs, which enable it to be embedded within other applications. These open APIs allow businesses and organizations to share and reuse logical and physical network configuration, network security and service activation information. The Intelliden R-Series provides seamless identification, analysis and resolution of systems and networking issues that can threaten the network configuration, network provisioning, network security and network compliance of strategic IP networks.
"I enjoy working with Cisco's team of experts and rolling out integrated solutions to Intelliden's customers worldwide," said Derek Hearne, Intelliden vice president of service provisioning solutions. "I have been with Intelliden since its founding, and we are making powerful strides as the leading provider of model-driven and policy-based networking solutions. IP is the future of networking, and the growing voice, video and data convergence revolution needs the Intelliden R-Series software to reliably scale and automate the impending demand."
