Carmel High School Center Named to 2005 McDonald's All American Boys High School Team; 28th Annual Game Set to Tip Off at The Joyce Center in South Bend, IN

INDIANAPOLIS -- Josh McRoberts of Carmel High School will join the ranks of the basketball elite, as he has been chosen to participate in the 2005 McDonald's(R) All American(TM) High School Basketball Game as a member of the East squad.
As a McDonald's All American Game team member, Josh McRoberts will play among the top 24 male high school basketball players in the nation. In his position of Center, McRoberts is ranked number one in his recruiting class of 2005 by national publications and recruiting services. His coach is Mark Galloway.
This year's Game, which marks year 28 of the McDonald's All American Game for boys, will be played Wednesday, March 30th at the University of Notre Dame's Joyce Center in South Bend, IN. And, for the fourth year, McDonald's is hosting a Girls Game to spotlight outstanding high school female athletes as well. The Girls Game tips off at 5:30 (EST) and will be broadcast on ESPN2 (March 31st at 5:00 PM). The Boys Game will be broadcast LIVE on ESPN during primetime at 8:00 PM (EST). A portion of the proceeds from both Games will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities Chapters of Indiana. Since 1974, millions of family members of seriously ill children have found a home-away-from-home in Ronald McDonald Houses and Family Rooms nationwide.
McDonald's All American alumni include such current and former NBA and NCAA superstars as Michael Jordan (retired) and Magic Johnson (retired), Kevin Garnett (Minnesota Timberwolves), Carmelo Anthony (Denver Nuggets) and LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers), as well as Dee Brown (Illinois), Chris Thomas (Notre Dame) and Rashad McCants (North Carolina).
