Fairchild Semiconductor Executives to Speak at Key Financial Conferences; To Address Thomas Weisel Tech2005 and Smith Barney Small & Mid-Cap Conference

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine -- Fairchild Semiconductor (NYSE: FCS), the leading global supplier of high performance products that optimize system power, today announced that Vice President and Corporate Treasurer, Pete Groth and Senior Director Investor Relations, Dan Janson will speak at the following upcoming financial conferences:
--Janson will present at the Thomas Weisel Tech2005 at The Fairmont San Francisco in San Francisco, California on February 8 at 10:20 a.m. PT, and
--Groth will present at the Smith Barney Small & Mid-Cap Conference at the Four Seasons at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, Nevada on February 16 at 3:05 p.m. PT.

"With a 24% growth in our power business in 2004, Fairchild continues to be well positioned as the leading supplier of power semiconductors," said Groth. "We're seeing increased demand in computing, consumer, and power supply and battery charger segments. Lead times are stabilizing and our backlog is building again. By continuing to increase our mix of higher-value power products, we have demonstrated our ability to deliver advanced new products and systems that meet or exceed our customers' requirements. An example of this success is our Fairchild Power Switch (FPS(TM)) product line that grew sales 39% year over year.
