Business Wire, Jan 19, 2005
RA'ANANA, Israel -- Judges for the Microsoft Healthcare Users Group (MS-HUG) and Microsoft Corp. have selected dbMotion as a finalist for the eighth MS-HUG annual awards in the Acute Care; Clinical/Patient Information Systems category. The honors awarded by MS-HUG, a membership community of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), showcase the most innovative solutions in the healthcare industry in recognition of the significant contributions made by organizations to improve the quality of patient care.
"We are pleased to recognize the continued commitment of dbMotion to drive integrated communication and collaboration across the healthcare industry," said Steve Shihadeh, General Manager, Microsoft Healthcare and Life Sciences. "Leveraging Microsoft's proven technology, dbMotion is able to offer organizations a cost-effective solution that increases the quality of patient care by providing access to clinical data on an anytime, anywhere basis."
The dbMotion(TM) Solution creates secured Virtual Patient Records by logically connecting a group of care providers and organizations without centralizing their data. The Solution puts integrated patient information at care givers' fingertips, enabling clinical staff to take better care decisions, shorten care cycles and improve the quality of care.
"We are delighted that Microsoft and MS-HUG have validated the innovative nature of the dbMotion Solution and the real value it delivers to patients and clinicians. We have used the forefront of Microsoft technology to deliver a solution that improves care on a daily basis for the millions of patients treated by our customers," said Yuval Ofek, CEO of dbMotion ltd.
As a finalist, dbMotion will be featured in the Microsoft booth at the annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference, February 13-17, in Dallas Texas.
