Alien Technology Names Stephen R. Crocker Director of Channel Management for the European Market

MORGAN HILL, Calif. -- Alien Technology(R) today announced the addition to the European management team of Stephen R. Crocker, Director of Channel Management. Crocker, formerly Manager of Channel Sales for EMS/Datalogic's RFID solutions, will lead Alien's planned expansion of the European reseller channel for Alien's RFID products and services, the first EPC Class 1 Reader and Tag solutions currently available in Europe.
"Stephen brings to Alien Technology extensive background in driving business development through distribution partners in Europe," said Andrew Berger, Vice President, International, Alien Technology Corporation. "We look forward to his contributions in expanding the reseller channel in Europe for our new ETSI EN 302-208 Readers, EPC Class 1 tags, and RFID education and implementation services."
Crocker has over 12 years experience in channel sales and marketing management. In his former role, he managed a global distribution network of 30 EMEA-based distributors for EMS/Datalogic, which successfully targeted some of the largest RFID contracts to date in the consumer packaged goods, electronics, food-processing, automotive and airline sectors. Crocker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics & Marketing from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, and a Masters Business Administration degree from Georgetown University, and University of New Mexico.
