NuMarkets Announces Expansion in North Carolina with the Opening of NuMarkets Selling and Shipping Centers in Boone and Hickory, NC

Business Wire, Jan 6, 2005

ETOWAH, Tenn. -- NuMarkets, the pioneer of eBay consignment selling and shipping centers for the public and business sector, announced today it has reached a definitive agreement with Worldwide Consignment, LLC to open NuMarkets Selling and Shipping Centers in Boone and Hickory, NC. The first location in Boone is scheduled to open the first week in February. NuMarkets will be announcing further expansion plans in Charlotte; NC, Lancaster; PA, Chattanooga; TN and Dalton, GA marketplace later this month.

"The highlands of North Carolina are loaded with treasures of all descriptions," said Russ Grove, President & CEO of NuMarkets. "You will find furniture, antiques and local craftsmanship in a unique community rich in content. The power of a NuMarkets location in a small rural area will bring economic development to the community by offering volumes of local items to a global economy. The Internet is a powerful place to conduct business, but often too complex and beyond the average person's interest. NuMarkets will provide these services and conveniences to the public and business sectors allowing Boone and Hickory the ability to tap into the global economy. We are very pleased Matthew and Angela Gravley, owners of Worldwide Consignment, LLC have joined the NuMarkets team," stated Grove.

"We are excited about bringing the global marketplace to the doorsteps of this mountain top community," said Matthew Gravley, co-owner of NuMarkets, Boone, NC. "The High Country is bursting at the seams with product, but has very limited distribution possibilities. Boone is an antiques mecca and Hickory is the furniture capital of the world. We intend to focus our attention heavily on business-to-business selling in both locations. Local competition is already popping up, adding evidence of the growth of this industry. We will be relying on the quickness and precision of the best-in-class NuMarkets technology and processes to keep us ahead of the game. Volume selling is a key to success in this business," stated Gravley.
