Burlington Resources to Present at Goldman Sachs Global Energy Conference

HOUSTON -- Burlington Resources Inc. (NYSE:BR)(TSX:B) announced today that Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Steve Shapiro will speak at the Goldman Sachs Global Energy Conference 2005 in New York on Tuesday, January 11, at 10 a.m. Eastern time.

Mr. Shapiro will participate in a panel discussion on strategies for creating sustainable shareholder value in a price environment of $40 oil and $6 natural gas.
