No Red Tape Mortgage Selects Omnipod's Secure Instant Messaging; IM allows account executives to multi-task while making sales calls
Business Wire, July 11, 2005
NEW YORK -- Omnipod, a leader in On-Demand secure Enterprise Instant Messaging, announced today that No Red Tape Mortgage is the latest enterprise to implement the Professional Online Desktop (POD). The wholesale mortgage lender chose the POD because of its strong security features, familiar interface and overall ease-of-use.
Given the sales driven nature of the company, the POD allows No Red Tape Mortgage's account executives to remain on the phone while quickly obtaining the appropriate information about the particular file they are working on.
"We want our people to be on the phone, talking with customers and getting the information they need fast to close deals," said Josh Stallings, VP Strategic Initiatives of No Red Tape Mortgage. "Instant Messaging was the obvious solution. Omnipod was easy to install, totally secure, and, most importantly, easy for our employees to use."
Omnipod's POD is a secure, hosted IM service for the enterprise that integrates numerous functions such as file sharing, WebEx online conferencing and SMS broadcasting into a single interface. Omnipod's private IM network is engineered to provide additional enterprise-level security by combining strict administrative controls with 168-bit 3DES SSL encryption, protecting POD users from hackers as well as from common viruses and worms.
"Before Omnipod was deployed, very few No Red Tape Mortgage employees used IM which hampered productivity," said Gideon Stein, CEO, Omnipod. "As a testament to the POD's ease-of-use, the company rolled out the platform to several hundred employees in a matter of days, with little individualized training. Now, virtually everyone there is using POD IM."
