Grocery Outlet Celebrates Grand Opening in Milwaukie; Mayor James Bernard Cuts the Ribbon Saturday, July 16th

BERKELEY, Calif. -- Grocery Outlet, a unique, neighborhood extreme-value grocery store with foods, beverages, household products and more -- from the one-of-a-kind to the basic -- will celebrate the opening of its newly relocated store in Milwaukie, Oregon. Joining Grocery Outlet independent operators Ed and Shelley Whittaker will be Mayor James Bernard for the Ribbon Cutting, celebrating the store's official opening at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16th. Characteristic of Grocery Outlet's style, the grand opening celebrations will continue throughout the weekend and over the next several weeks, featuring fantastic drawings and give-aways to welcome customers to their new home.
In addition, patrons are encouraged to enter and win a drawing for a 2005 Ford Focus.
The new 15,000 square foot store is conveniently located at the heart of Holly Farm Shopping Center. The store (relocating from 13843 SE McLoughlin Blvd.) will better serve the entire Milwaukie community and the surrounding area. The store will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., daily. Ed & Shelley Whittaker, operators of the new Grocery Outlet store, are very familiar with the Portland community, having embraced the Milwaukie area for the past 4 years by operating their prior location just a few miles away. "We are looking forward to this new opportunity and hope to personally greet as many people as possible over the course of our grand opening and weeks ahead. We've got some fun activities planned for families, and some surprises, too, including a drawing for a new 2005 Ford Focus," said Shelley Whittaker.
