Antarctica's Visual Net software offers Business Objects customers a unique user interface that provides for enhanced visual representation of complex data. Visual Net uses relative image sizing and color-coding to more easily spot trends, outliers, and areas of focus that may not be apparent with typical charting and graphing techniques. The solution extends investments made with Business Objects and helps increase their return on that investment by increasing user adoption of BI technology.
"Business Objects and Antarctica are both focused on helping companies extend the use of business intelligence to more users within and outside an organization," said Jon Dorrington, Vice President of Alliances at Business Objects. "The integration of BusinessObjects(TM) XI and Antarctica's Visual Net helps extend the value of Antarctica's unique interface, making it fast and easy for our joint customers to get the answers they need to make smarter business decisions."
Antarctica complements the performance management and enterprise reporting capabilities of Business Objects by allowing a user to launch a Visual Net object from a performance management dashboard, explore and investigate an issue, and then capture results within Crystal Reports(R). With an intuitive, visual interface, users can see both summary and detail information in context as well as visually filter large amounts of information.
"Business Objects is the gold standard for Business Intelligence and we are excited to be working with them," says Barry Yates, President and CEO of Antarctica Systems. "Partnering with Business Objects to drive increased user adoption will create significant benefits to our joint customers and allow them to realize even higher returns on their Business Objects investments."
Visual Net requires minimal user training and, because business users can explore and investigate issues on their own, little or no reliance on Information Technology staff is required.
